Customized culinary experiences by Coastal Food Tours such as a Boardwalk Food Tour, Farmer’s Market Food Tour, Town Center Food Tour and Coastal Harvest Feast designed to showcase the history of agriculture and cuisine in Virginia Beach.

Coastal Harvest Feast Food Tour

Day 1 - Welcome to the beach: Get acquainted with the beach and the week ahead while dining on fresh grilled fare, cocktails and other specialties at the critically acclaimed restaurant located in the heart of the boardwalk.

Day 2 – Virginia Beach: After Breakfast at hotel, tour historic Cape Henry Lighthouse while learning about the First Foodies of America.  Experience Taste of the Market at the region’s largest farmers market, meet the vendors and sample their specialties. You will then enjoy a specially created lunch at the market diner.  Afternoon on the Farm, visit one of the area’s traditional farms. Meet the owners, learn how they are preserving their heritage while utilizing modern techniques, and walk the fields to see, touch and taste the bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables. To finish your day enjoy free time or join in on some optional activities such as taffy pulling or a special popcorn tasting then enjoy dinner at one of many Virginia Beach local’s favorite.

Day 3 – Eastern Shore: After Breakfast at hotel tour gain a fresh perspective of the Chesapeake Bay as we cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and head to the Eastern Shore.  Experience an Aqua Farm Tour and get hands-on with an optional boat excursion. Take a stroll on the quaint streets of Cape Charles to enjoy lunch and dessert at a family run coffee shop.  Next venture to Chatham Winery to explore and meet the owners of the award winning winery.  For dinner it’s Beer and BBQ on the Bay.

Day 4 – The Roots of Virginia:  After Breakfast at hotel, visit Rowena’s,  featured on the Food Network and operating for the past 25 years, to experience award winning cakes. Next step into the Smithfield Food Tour and discover the authentic flavor of this charming town and the foods that put Virginia on the culinary map, from ham biscuits, peanuts, and a hearty helping of country snacks. Before leaving the area, visit Darden’s Country Store.  Free time is available for optional excursions.

Day 5 – Harvest Feast:  After Breakfast at hotel, enjoy free time or indulge in any of our optional activities such as charter fishing or para-sailing.  Then experience the Harvest Feast, a culmination of the past four days will lead to an interactive and engaging feast of the bounty of the entire week at one table.

Virginia Beach Boardwalk and Beyond Food Tour

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk and Beyond Food Tour takes you from the famous strip that has beckoned vacationers for decades to the serene Rudee Inlet that boasts some of the best off the beaten path restaurants in the city.  You will learn all about the history and culture of the area, including what John Smith and his crew ate during their stop in the area before heading to Jamestown.  Throughout the food tour you will enjoy local creations, indigenous dishes, fresh seafood and refreshing beverages alongside the serenity of the beach, Atlantic Ocean, and Rudee inlet.

Farmer’s Market Food Tour

Visit the region’s largest farmers market, meet the vendors and sample their specialties.

Town Center Food Tour

The 17-block area located in the heart of Virginia Beach boasts an exciting mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment, and has become one of the area’s hottest destinations. Experience award-winning cuisine, top notch entertainment, and modern urban architecture surrounds serene parks and green space. Upscale boutiques and popular retailers are found throughout the popular, vibrant area.  The Town Center Food Tour will traverse the area’s streets seeking out its best food and drink experiences. Throughout the way, your highly trained guide will teach you about the area’s significance to the city, growing culture, and history.

Virginia Beach Unwrapped

Enjoy lunch at Jewish Mother, a local restaurant voted “best at the beach” for the last 10 years. After lunch, guests will learn about the art of cupcake decorating from the pastry chef and decorate their very own holiday inspired cupcake.  Next visit and dare to climb to the top of Cape Henry Lighthouse and tour historic Cape Henry while learning about the holiday traditions that the first foodies of America enjoyed.

Holiday Dine Around Tour & Holiday Light Show

Start off the evening at Waterman’s Surfside Grill, a Virginia Beach staple since 1981. Enjoy seafood creations while learning about the chef and the history of this popular oceanfront establishment.  Enjoy sweeping views of the oceanfront while taking in the Holiday Lights at the Beach. Listen to holiday music and relax while the motor coach drives through this winter wonderland boardwalk display.  Meander off the boardwalk to the Rudee Inlet, where guests will end the evening with dessert and egg nog at Rockafeller’s Restaurant. Since 1989, Rockafeller’s has been one of Virginia Beach’s favorite dining landmarks and is well loved by locals and tourists alike.
